Q. What does it mean to be inspired by the ocean?

“The sea cures all ailments of man.”
Plato

The ocean is a Master Healer of mankind.

It offers us a reprieve from all that ails us

if we may only open up to her medicine.

Our ocean-inspired healing brings a handful of these healing principles

to a clinical spa environment for deep relaxation,

safe detoxification, fluid circulation, mental restoration,

emotional liberation, and spiritual purification.

The soothing and gentle tides of ocean waves. The calming and alluring blue depths. the smell and feel of salt in the air and sand on your toes. This is the essence of relaxation.

Massage practices designed to mirror these pleasant and restorative sensations, such as the ocean wave style of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, or the calm seas stillness of Cranial Sacral, all have the potential to transform the body, and envelop you in a cocoon of Deep Relaxation.

Salt in the water, the sand, and the air at the beach has a deeply cleansing and purifying effect on the body. The salt creates what is known as "Negative Ionization Therapy", which can be simplified as the process of negative Ions from salt repelling positive Ions in the air and the body that are attached to and associated with toxins and negative energies. By the use of Heated Himalayan Salt massage stones, a similar effect can be created in the body, resulting in a mild and Safe Detoxification.

Just as water circulates on the planet, it also circulates inside the human body in the form of body fluids. In both cases, it is essential to maintaining life. The bodies circulatory system consists of two distinct systems that work in tandem: the cardiovascular circulatory system and the lymphatic circulatory system. These two systems work together to detox the body, and maintain homeostasis. By the use of continuous flowing massage strokes over the surface of the body, the blood and lymphatic system experience a definite increase in Fluid Circulation

The mind of the average person in modern day society can be likened to a storm at sea. The myriad of to-dos, considerations, worries and concerns whirl around our mental space like gale force winds. In this way, many find it hard to focus, or maintain steady peace of mind.

Certain massage practices, such as Cranial Sacral Therapy, which increases the flow of Cerebral Spinal Fluid (the fluid surrounding the brain) throughout your body, have the ability to calm the storm, and bring Mental Restoration.

Thanks to science, we’re now able to connect the dots to the full range of emotional benefits being on, in, or near the water can bring. The prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain associated with emotion and self-refection (as well as other functions) has been shown to be engaged when ocean sounds are played, as well as by the visual perception of moving water. Like wise, the fluid movements and continuously connected strokes over the surface of the body, like waves in the ocean, engage the prefrontal cortex in a massage allowing for deep Emotional Liberation

Our lives are like waves in the ocean. On one level, we have a beginning and an ending, a general ebb and flow. On another more important level, we see that although we express temporary individuality, we are never truly disconnected from whole of the sea. Our spiritual nature is like this. Although we inhabit physical bodies as a form of temporary individual expression, our true nature, the animating spirit of our being, remains intact and one. Through meditation and Pranic Healing, we may gradually understand this, and experience great Spiritual Purification.

(like a you or a me),
it's always ourselves
we find in the sea."

E. E. Cummings
